Best Mascara Combo

For Length and Fullness

Beauty Tutorials By Christine Cherbonnier

Hi, My Name is Christine Cherbonnier. I'm a professional makeup artist.

Today was a pretty eventful day!

I redid my little makeup area to create a better photo studio, and I got this gorgeous new shirt which I created this makeup inspired by it.

Eyes

First, I take my Blurry Mauve Palette by Chanel and take the color Claire Light and just buff it around my eyes. I don't worry about blending I just kind of swish back and forth over my lids and pull it down underneath to create a little depth to my eye.

Then I take my Byredo Prismatic Palette, using the deepest gold color from the palette, and focus it on the center of the lid. I do believe this palette is sold out, It was a limited edition, but you can take any gold shadow that you have lying around and just pop it on the inner corner and center of your lid.

I then take my favorite highlighter of the moment, The Milk Lit Highlighter and I pop it up on top of my brow bone, on the center of my eye, on the inner corner on my cheekbones, along my nose, my chin and the cupid's bow. I rub this highlighter all over my entire face basically daily, I love the texture and tone of this highlighter for so many different complexions.

Eyelashes - Mixing Mascaras

I love to mix mascaras to create a customized formula for my lashes. I’ve been using my go-to L'oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black for years. This one in the video is darker than the original formula I most often wear. I swear by the classic black of the original formula, but today I really wanted to darken my lashes because my skin is a little bit more bronze for this look.

I then took the New Idol Mascara by Lancôme, I absolutely love this mascara, it really separates my long lashes, and it makes them incredibly long. I prefer more fullness to complement my length.

So by mixing the two, I feel like I really cracked the code on the perfect thickening and lengthening combo. My lashes almost looked fake with both of these mascaras on!

Not only are they not clumpy, they are separated in a wonderful way, making them look super dramatic and natural.

Since I now have a very dark lash line, I feel like I need to fill in the skin below the lash line. Sometimes when there's that separation where you can see the lightness of the skin on the waterline, it looks a little weird. So, I took my one-size brown eyeliner pencil, and I swipe it along my waterline to finish the lashes.

Next, I'm taking the Copper Color of the Byredo palette - you can take the same gold that you used before, but this one is just a little darker - and I put it through my crease to add more dimension while keeping the eyebright and not going to dark.

I then swiped it on my bottom lash line; I really like it when my eyeshadow kind of goes down onto my skin at the very top of my cheeks, especially with a bronze look.

It gives the illusion of a day in the sun, and it's like a really high blush under my eyes. I really love that look. It's kind of hazy and dreamy and gives a playful personality to your blush instead of always placing it right on the cheeks.

Next, I finish my skin with the Chanel Les Beiges Illuminating

powder in Sand. This powder is really unique; it is a powder and bronzer combo. It also has a really beautiful glow to it. It evens out my skin, adds a little shine, and helps to bronze my fair skin.

Then I finish my brows with a brow gel.

I'm really into the Gimme Brow by Benefit at the moment. I love its ashy color and the small brush. There are tons of brands with these smaller brushes, and I have a few other brow gel favorites, but the ashiness of the color really helps my brows get darker while still looking natural to match my darker hair.

I'm using the Ink Stay Crayon in Talk the Talk for my lips. I'm obsessed with these Crayons, I love all the colors they make, especially the neutrals, and I love the formula. I use them as liners, but they're super creamy, and they easily blend in all-over color the lips as well.

I finish the look with this beautiful Plumping Gloss by Maybelline. This is a really beautiful orangey-pink gloss to go with my bronzed look and my beautiful shirt that I will hopefully be wearing on vacation sometime soon.

I hope you guys enjoyed this look, and thanks for watching.
